Posted by Dinesh onAcetaminophen is a pain reliever and a fever reducer. Acetaminophen is used to treat mild to moderate and pain, to treat moderate to severe pain in conjunction with opiates, or to reduce fever.
Expected values: Toxic manifestations have been observed at serum concentrations > 100 μg/mL (> 662 μmol/L), however the toxic range is generally reported at > 200 μg/mL (> 1324 μmol/L).
WARNINGS: Taking too much acetaminophen may cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. Adults should not take more than 4000 milligrams (4 grams) of acetaminophen a day. People with liver problems and children should take less acetaminophen. Ask your doctor or pharmacist how much acetaminophen is safe to take.
