True Positive Rate (Sensitivity) Calculator
Posted by Dinesh onThe true positive rate of a test (also called the sensitivity) is defined as the proportion of people with the disease who will have a positive result.
The true positive rate is the probability that the test says “A” when the real value is indeed A (i.e., it is a conditional probability, conditioned on A being true). This does not tell you how likely you are to be correct when calling “A” (i.e., the probability of a true positive, conditioned on the test result being “A”).
Sensitivity (True Positive Rate) Calculation
Formula:
where,
TPR = True Positive Rate (sensitivity)
TP = Number of True Positives (correctly identified)
FN = Number of False Negatives (incorrectly rejected)
TPR = True Positive Rate (sensitivity)
TP = Number of True Positives (correctly identified)
FN = Number of False Negatives (incorrectly rejected)
