Distance to Horizon Formula
Equation for calculate distance to horizon is,
(i) d = 3.57 × √h
(ii) d = 1.23 × √h
ii. If the height is given in ft. and the distance in miles
where,
h is the height of the transmitter,
d is distance to horizon from a high altitude transmitter (i.e. line of sight).
