Treatability Constant Formula
Equation for calculate treatability constant is,
k30/20 = k20/20 × θT-20
where,- k30/20 = treatability constant at 30°C (86°F) and 20 ft (6.1 m) filter depth
- k20/20 = treatability constant at 20°C (68°F) and 20 ft (6.1 m) filter depth (as example values)
- θ = temperature activity coefficient (assume 1.035)
- T = wastewater temperature
Note: The actual temperature, °C and depth, ft (m) are used when this formula is applied in practice. The numbers given here are for illustrative purposes only.
